Visual Advantage is a Denver-based firm that collaborates with lawyers to strategize, create and present educational and persuasive demonstratives in the courtroom. In business for over ten years now, we “know what to show and how to show it.” In other words, we are experts in identifying which elements of a case would make the strongest demonstratives and have the technological expertise to best create and present this information. Of the hundreds of cases we’ve handled over the years, some types include environmental, construction, complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, medical malpractice, shareholder disputes and white-collar crime.

Lisa Hipp: Soon after finishing a psychology degree, Lisa began her career as a trial presenter. Early on, Lisa knew she wanted to combine her interests in psychology, technology and business to form a firm that provided lawyers with both sides of visual strategy — visual demonstrative creation and trial presentation services all under one roof. Although twelve years have past since she first formed Visual Advantage, this company owner still takes pride in offering her personal attention to each and every client. Today, Lisa is the primary visual strategist of the firm. Regular clients include: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck; Gibson Dunn & Crutcher; and Otten Johnson Robinson, Neff & Ragonetti.
Diarmuid Truax: On board since Visual Advantage first opened it doors, Diarmuid serves as the company’s senior litigation technology consultant. With a degree in marketing and a forte in trial presentation, Diarmuid spends nearly 75-precent of each year in court, presenting the demonstratives created in house. A regular conference attendee to remain on the cutting edge side of trial presentation technology, Diarmund also shares his expertise as a presenter at Continuing Legal Education seminars. Regular clients include: Holme Roberts & Owen; Davis Grahm & Stubbs; and Davis & Ceriani.
Nate Martinez: After earning a degree in communications, Nate came to the company in 2006. As a trial presenter, Nate has quickly developed a specialty in medical malpractice cases and is often requested by clients for his expertise in this area. According to owner Lisa Hipp, arriving at Visual Advantage right out of school has proven to be a wonderful asset. Nate has worked with Ruddy & Wolanske; Faegre & Benson; Hale Friesen and Martin & Conklin.
Stacey Lane: Having made the recent transition from sub-contractor to in-house graphic designer, Stacey is the newest member to join the Visual Advantage team. With a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (concentration graphic design) and 10 years of design work, which includes courtroom demonstrative creation, Stacey brings a thorough understanding of the communication process via graphics and design to Visual Advantage.
Margo Elfstrom: A recent addition to the Visual Advantage team, Margo Elfstrom performs marketing and public relations tasks for the firm. She has published articles in the Denver Business Journal and has over ten years of experience in sales, marketing, public relations and corporate training. She holds a BSBA in Marketing and an MA in Organizational Management.
